As part of the “Compass” project in partnership with the Embassy of the United States in Morocco, the Association organized three training workshops on December 18 and 19, 2021 in the locations of Tata and Agadir.
The workshops were attended by 65 participants from the following categories: Project holders, trainees of vocational training centers in Agadir, and trainees of the vocational training centers in Tata, under the supervision of Mr. Younes Slilem and Mr. Houcine Ikou, career orientation consultants.
The workshop, which was the second training workshop for the second cohort of the Compass project, aimed at providing the participants with the core skills and tools in building personal brands, in the perspective of launching projects for the category of Project Holders, and in the perspective of entering the job market for the category of trainees of the vocational studies. In this context, the participants learned the concepts of “brand” and “personal brand building”, as well as a series of technical tools to bring these concepts to the level of their daily practice in order to launch their projects or to improve their employability.
The workshop also included familiarizing the young participants with the main rules of professional conduct (professional etiquette) and social norms in a professional environment, in the context of personal branding: the dress code and how to make a positive first impression in face-to-face meetings or on the phone/video conference.
After the workshop, the participants proceeded to apply the new skills on their projects, as part of each participant’s work plan, under the supervision and individual monitoring by the Association team.
The workshops were well received by the participants, who appreciated the fun and interactive atmosphere in which the workshops were held and the richness of the conceptual and practical information they learned. Khadija Moussa, a participant from Agadir, said, “I thought the topics of the workshops were quite obvious, but I got to understand them in more detail, which will certainly help me improve many aspects of my project.”
