Food Routes Project Kick Off Meeting in Tunisia!

Our Executive Director, Omar Aasou, and Senior Manager, Abderrahim Boualy, attended the “Food Routes” Kick-Off Meeting on January 29-30, 2024, in Tunisia!

This vital meeting brought together all project partners to dive deep into the project details and map out the next steps for implementation. The two-day agenda was packed with engaging working sessions, insightful learning sessions, and valuable site visits to Vocational Education and Training (VET) centers in Tunisia.

The meeting fostered a common understanding of the “Food Routes” project, detailing work packages, project organization, budget, and quality management. Our team collaborated on communication strategies and reporting protocols, ensuring a cohesive path forward. Highlights also included concrete steps for upcoming activities and discussions on potential challenges. Beyond the productive sessions, partners enjoyed a visit to the Business School of the CCIT and the picturesque Sidi-Bousaid, strengthening our collaborative spirit.

We’re proud to be collaborating with an incredible consortium of partners from Germany (Hochschule Der Wirtschaft Fur Management GgMBH, and Europaischer Verband Beruflicher Bildungstrager – EVBB), Greece (AKMI Anonimi Ekpaideftiki Etairia), Italy (APRO Formazione Societa Consortilea Resonsabilita Limitata), and fellow Moroccan (Office de La Formation Professionnelle et de La Promotion de Travail – OFPPT) and Tunisians (WeYouth, Agence Tunisienne de la Formation Professionnelle, and Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Tunis).

The Food Routes project, funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union, is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at enhancing the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector in Morocco and Tunisia. The project focuses on building capacity for VET staff and learners, fostering an environment where education meets practical industry demands.

We’re excited for the journey ahead with “Food Routes” and look forward to sharing more updates on this impactful project.
